Retaining the original period features of this Grade II listed Georgian property in Ripley, Surrey was of the utmost importance to our client, from showcasing and preserving the exposed original brickwork to re-conditioning and re-using the internal carpentry and joinery throughout the home, whilst adapting and enhancing the interior space in order to better suit 21st century living.

Reconfiguration of the original layout primarily at the rear of the property meant we could create a large new modern kitchen, dining and communal space for the family to enjoy, with an amazing garden outlook. Their sheltered outdoor dining/BBQ area was enhanced by the stunning reclaimed bricks manufactured during the same period as the house which were sourced locally and laid to create a new patio, in keeping with the property’s Georgian heritage.

We upcycled and restored the original front door and created a new bespoke frame to match the existing woodwork.

The property contained a number of distinctive curvatures which we made into unique features as seen in their downstairs shower room. The tiling was designed and made to follow the beautiful arch of the wall and we commissioned a custom glass screen to further enhance this striking feature.
